Michael’s teaching work includes RADA, East 15, The Drama, Studio, and Goldsmiths College where he developed a season of plays with the students which formed the basis of their practical dissertations.  He has taught on MA in Theatre Practice at Portsmouth University and was on the Validation Committee for the new MA course in Contemporary Theatre Practice at Winchester University.

As artistic director of the White Bear Theatre Michael has helped to develop some of the country’s most exciting theatre makers including Blanche McIntyre, Simon Evans, The Ugly Sisters, Box of Tricks, Joe Penhall, Torben Betts, Denis Kelly, Sharon Horgan, Mehmet Ergen, Vicky Featherstone and Lucinda Coxon.
