Michael’s production of Round The Horne … revisited ran in the west end for sixteen months, completed three number one tours, was chosen to be part of the 2004 Royal Variety Performance and was co-nominated with ‘Little Britain’ and the ‘league of Gentlemen’ for the Manchester evening news award for best touring comedy. ‘Round The Horne … revisited’ was critics choice in eleven publications including The Sunday times, The guardian, The daily telegraph, FT and The independent on Sunday. His critically acclaimed production of ‘Ying Tong’ - a darkly comic piece about Spike Milligan by Roy Smiles - was transferred from the West Yorkshire Playhouse to the New Ambassadors by Michael Codron and ATG.
Other directing work includes The London Premiere of Sam Shepherds ‘states of shock’ BAC main house ‘Hard Times’ by Stephen Jeffrey’s, ‘Decadence’ by Steven Berkoff and an adaptation of ‘Hound of the Baskervilles’ by Nick Fisher all for Salisbury Playhouse.

His first play ‘All manner of means’ formed part of a ‘celebration of new writing’ at BAC. It was time out critics choice and transformed for a sell out run at The Kings Head.
Michael’s play seduced was presented at the multi-award winning finborough theatre as part of their new british plays season. Seduced explores our contemporary obsession with class and sexuality during an explosive couple swapping evening. His play ‘Under The Influence’ is due to go into production next year and he is currently working on a new play.
